Terms of Service

1. About this service

This website describes jg555 Home Assistant, a private, non-commercial home-automation application, and the services it links to (together, the “Service”). The Service is a private, non-commercial project operated by an individual for personal and household use. The Service is not offered to the public. Access is by invitation only (household members and expressly authorized individuals), and the operator may modify, restrict, or discontinue the Service or any user's access at any time, without notice.

2. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Personal, non-commercial use only

You may use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:

• attempt to access the Service or any data you are not authorized to use;
• disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or other users;
• use the Service to infringe the rights of, or harm, any person; or
• resell or offer the Service to third parties.

4. Accounts and access

Accounts are created by the operator for authorized users. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Administrative users may be required to use two-factor authentication.

5. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms (for example, Google Calendar and Google Nest). Your use of those platforms is governed by their terms and policies, not these Terms. The Service accesses third-party data only for the account a user explicitly connects and only to provide that feature. See the Privacy Policy.

6. No warranty

The Service is a self-hosted hobby system provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. It may be unavailable, interrupted, or contain errors, and data may be lost.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

8. Changes

These Terms may be updated at any time. The current version, with its effective date, is always posted on this page; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
